Homeskooling 4 Dogs believes that training should be a positive experience, not punishing.  The Homeskooling Dog Training Collar was designed for those who would rather guide and control their dog, then punish them. We believe when training dogs it is important that you act like a leader, not an adversary.

The Homeskooling 4 Dogs training collar is designed so that pressure can be distributed around the upper part of a dog’s neck to prevent injury to the dog's airway while facilitating increased control over the dog. For maximum control the collar needs to be held in place high on the neck, but single collar designs commonly rest at the base of the neck thereby minimizing control and lying in line with the dog's trachea causing them to gag when they pull or the leash is pulled.

Advantage of the Homeskooling 4 Dogs Training Collar:

The dog can be walked on either the left or right side.

Only the top collar constricts and the amount can be controlled for the dog’s

safety.

A handle is incorporated into the limited slip loop to assist in controlling the

animal.

Single collar designs commonly fall to the base of the neck thereby lying in line with the dog’s trachea causing them to gag when they pull

This is a training collar. Never leave this or any other training collar on a dog that is left unattended

Sizing Information: The Homeskooling 4 Dogs Training Collar is sized differently than other collars.  To select the correct collar size, measure at the base of your dog's neck.  Do not measure their current collar, or use the stated size from your current collar. You can use a tape measure  or piece of string or to measure around your dog's neck, then lay the string on a yard stick to determine the dogs neck measurements.

Select the collar that corresponds to the neck size measured from the base of the neck. Do not add inches. The collar is adjustable to provide a secure fit.

Fitting

The buckle collar should fit around the base of the neck and should not be constricting. The upper limited slip collar (Martingale type) should be pulled up right behind the ears of the dog so it can be properly sized. The upper limited slip collar (Martingale type) should be adjusted so that it is just snug enough so the dog cannot back out of the collar. It should not constrict on the dog’s neck. This training collar is designed to provide direction to the dog, not corrections.
